I am so sorry for not updating sooner but I have been busy!!
Our last weekend in Bogota was awesome. We spent it with our family. I am sure all of you want to know what happenend when Cesar arrived. Camila did not get to see him Friday because she was already asleep. Cesar arrived at midnight! On Saturday morning when she woke up she ooked at his bed and then she looked at me, then she did it again.. I said look Camila daddy is here as I told you yesterday and she had this big smile on her face went up to him, hugged him and gave him a kiss. They played a little and it was all good. Truth be told I was very worried about her reaction but it went well. In the afternoon we went to one of her cousin's bday party. She was a little overwhelmed with the amount of people so she was holding on to my leg really tight. We did not stay very long because we needed to pack. We ended up with three suitcases, I really did not think we had that much stuff left since Cesar had taken two full suitcases!! We went to bed around midnight.
On Sunday Cesar and I got up at 5am, got ready and once we had everything done we woke Camila up. It was 6am and she opened her eyes and immediately smiled. This is not normal because she usually gets mad when we wake her up! I was a nervous wreck!! I kept on thinking what if they give me problems to get her out of the country, what if there is something missing, what if her ears hurt when we take off, what if she starts crying during the flight and does not stop, what if we have problems in the US with the paperwork, what if, what if. I was so nervous I felt sick.
I was worried for nothing because everything went perfect. We were at the gate with plenty of time to spare. Camila was in good spirits and she was excited about the plane ride. We boarded the plane and 5 minutes later she was asleep. She slept like 3 hrs and when she woke up she played with daddy, ate a little, and she kept on looking out the window. She was very good and she never got irritated, bored or desperate to get out of the plane. When we were about to land she put her little arms around my neck and said mami scared.. It was so cute, I di dnot even know she knew how to sya scared. First time she used that word. I hugged her and told her everything would be fine. We landed around 3:30pm. We went through customs line and the officer sent us to the room to wait. We were there for a couple of hours waiting. We finally got called and it all went well. We finally got our luggage and got out of the airport around 6:45 pm. Cesar's brother and his wife went to the airport and Camila gave them a hug and kiss : ) Camila behaved so well up until 15 minutes from home. She really does not like the car seat. I tried to entertain her until we got home but she just wanted out of the seat. We finally got home around 7:30 and my other two brother in laws and their wives were waiting for us. Our friend Diana, her husband and child were also there. Camila at first was very shy. Gabriel has two kids(Nico and ALex) so she started to play with them a little. I had to be by her side all the time. She really does not trust adults. Like I said before she is probably thinking that they can take her away from me. It was very cute to see her reaction when she saw the house and her room. She opened her big eyes. She did not know where to go or where to look. She loved her room and her toys!!
Everybody left and we went to bed around 10:00. We were very tired.
We decided to put Camila to bed in her own room. I was not sure if she would stay there but we decided to try. Again, she was perfect.. she actually slept better without us in the room. She woke up around 7am and we brought her into our room. She had her tete and spent some time with dad before he went to work. Cesar left and Camila and I had breakfast and then went grocery shopping. Afterwards, I took her to the playground in my subdivision so she would play for little bit. We came back, had lunch and then she took a long nap. I started to unpack and to wash clothes while she slept. When she woke up a took her to a shopping center close to my house so she would walk a little. We came back home and shortly after Cesar arrived. Camila was a little mad at him for leaving. She would not even look at him. Cesar started to tickle her and shortly after she was ok with him again. We played for a little bit and then took her up for her shower. Cesar was the one to bathe her and this was a first!! She was totally ok with daddy bathing her. I am so excited to see everyday that she is getting closer and closer to daddy. We put her to bed and she asked for the both of us to get in bed with her. I thought not having a TV in her room was going to be hard on her but she does not seem to care. I went to bed right after she fell asleep.
On Tuesday, she woke up at 7am and we put her in our bed. We have her teh tete while she was wathcing Mickey Mouse. She loves Mickey and his friends. It is so cute to watch her dance to Mickey's song and how she calls out everyones name...Cesar left to go to work and we took a shower, had breakfast and waited for the technician that was going to fix the heater to come. We played and hung out all morning. She took a nap right after lunch and woke up at around 3:30pm. She loves to sleep, just like her mommy! When she woke up I took her to the mall since they have a play area for kids. I am trying to ger to play with other kids so when she goes to daycare is not too hard for her. I want her to become independent and to know that mommy and daddy will always be there for her. We left the mall and OMG there was a huge traffic jam. Camila got really upset after being in the car seat for so long. SHe was so mad and was crying so much she ended up making herself throw up! I got really scared and pulled over. She also was also scared, poor little baby! I hugged her and primised we would be home soon. We finally got home and she was crying and very upset. I bathed her and try to cheer her up. Cesar came home and so did my brother in laws. We played with her and in no time she was happy again! We all had dinner, played some more and then we put her to bed. She warmed up to her uncles and by the time they left she was giving them hugs and kisses.
I am so happy to be home. I have to start enforcing the schedules and getting a handle on time. You know I used to think that staying at home would be hard because I would not have anything to do. Oh boy was I wrong!! There are not enough hours in the day to do what you want to do. I do not even know where the hours go. I am enjoying my time with Camila and I am loving to see that everyday she gets closer and closer to dad. This is definitely the best time of our lives. Children bring so much joy and love to our lives. We are totally in love with Camila and we cannot wait for her to meet the rest of our friends and family. Thank you God for everything you have given us, we are so blessed!
That's all for now!

Going home this weekend!
I am so excited!!! All went well at the embassy and we are going home on Sunday. We had the appointment at the embassy on Wednesday. We arrived at 2:00pm and by 3:30 we were on a taxi going back home. It did not take very long and they were very nice!!. They did not ask for additional paperwork and they just told us to go the following day to pick up the visa at 2:30.
Camila fell asleep on the way home so as son as we arrived I put her in bed. She was sleeping like an angel and she was so tired she did not want to wake up. I had to start making noises so she would wake up because I knew if I let her sleep too long she would never go to bed that night.
When she finally woke up she was hungry and wanted to play. So I made her a sandwich which she did not like!! She only ate the bread. I also gave her some fruit and yogurt. Then she decided she wanted to sing, dance and play .
At around 8:30pm I bathed her, we skyped with daddy and then I put her in bed. She did not want ot go to sleep. At one point I fell asleep for a few minutes and she was still playing with Pipe(baby doll dressed like a pig),osito(her teddy bear), piolo(singing seahorse) and mu(the cow). I then vaguely heard "mama" and I woke up! Shortly after that she fell asleep and so did I. My mother in law was laughing, she said I was so wore out that I fell asleep before Camila.
Today we woke up at 7:00pm and we hung out in our pijamas until 11:30am. We sang, danced and played! Camila loves to sing and dance. She is such a happy baby and she cracks me up with the things she says. I do not know if 2 yr olds usually talk this much but Camila repeats everything she hears as I said before she is like a little parrot.. she takes after me : )
At 1:30 we took a taxi and went to the embassy. My luck as soon as we arrived they informed us the systems were down and we would have to wait for a while. We finally got the paperwork at around 4:00pm. Camila slept in my arms for a little bit and the rest of the time we played. She was very good until we were in the taxi. Poor thing was tired, wanted her tete and she was desperate to get home. She started screaming in the taxi. I was finally able to calm her down by playing with her and singing los pollitos. I do not have a very good voice but she loves for me to sing to her. Traffic is horrible in Bogota but when it rains it is ten times worse. We got home like at 5:00pm, We got our tickets and we are ready!
The rest of the evening we hung out with Cesar's aunt Aura and my mother in law. We played, then we had dinner, then we played some more!! At around 8:00pm I bathed her, we skyped with Cesar and then put her to bed. She asked me to sing los pollitos until she finally fell asleep.
Cesar arrives tomorrow and we cannot wait to see him. When I put Camila to sleep tonoght she asked for papas pic and she stared at yhe pic for a while. Then she gave the pic tons of kisses, she hugged the pic and the whole time she was saying papa, papa, papa. I wonder what she will do when she sees him tomorrow.
Colombia had treated me very well this past month. Cesar's family has been awesome. I love them all. This whole time I have felt very loved, blessed and more than anything I never felt alone. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for everything they did for us and for the support they gave us.
